Brundage Management, Self Reliant Storage accept Bill Sinkin Award – San Antonio Business Journal
Brundage Management Co. has accepted the Bill Sinkin Solar Award for the company’s work in advancing the adoption of solar energy in San Antonio.
San Antonio-based Brundage installed 825 kilowatts of solar energy systems on 11 of the company’s A-AAAKey Mini Storage climate-controlled facilities, making it the largest owner of “net metered” solar energy facilities in the city. The company contracted with Self Reliant Solar to provide it with design and installation services over the past four years.
The City of San Antonio, along with Build San Antonio Green, granted Brundage the award for the investments the company has made in renewable energy. Brundage will expand installations at its properties in San Antonio to bring the company’s total generation capacity to 1 megawatt of power. Collectively, these systems should generate 1.25 million kilowatt hours (kWh) per year and save the company $125,000 per year and more than $3 million over the next 25 years.
