Local support does exist for Lone Star rail District

The Texas Transportation Institute's latest survey of the 100 most congested areas of the state identified Interstate 35 between Loop 1604 North and FM 3009 as the region's worst segment for road congestion. Three other segments of I-35 in Bexar County are on the worst 100 list, as well as three in Travis County.

What's causing all this congestion? The obvious answer is that since the 2010 census, San Antonio and Austin have ranked third and fourth among U.S. cities in numerical growth. Read more
