San Antonio's new energy economy is expected to attract more companies to the Alamo City, according to participants at an electrical engineering conference.

More than 600 electrical engineers from 21 countries gathered at the Marriott Rivercenter on Monday morning for the "Life of a Transformer" seminar.

The week-long event will feature technical discussions on managing and maintaining electrical power grids
