City Seeks Applicants for Seats on the Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee
The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for all positions on the Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC). The CEAC is comprised of eleven members, one member representing each of the ten Council Districts and one representing the Mayor. The committee provides recommendations on effective environmental projects, programs and policies to City staff and City Council and will serve as a forum for the community to offer input concerning environmental sustainability.
The positions will be open until Friday, August 30, 2013. Applications are available at the City's website.

The Citizen's Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC) was created on April 2, 2009 by City of San Antonio Ordinance number 2009-04-02-0247. The CEAC are comprised of volunteer District appointees.
The purpose of the CEAC is to involve the community in advancing the City of San Antonio “Mission Verde ” into the future. The committee will provide recommendations on effective environmental programs and policies to City staff and City Council and will serve as a forum for the community to offer input concerning environmental sustainability.
Advise the City Council on its environmental efforts with a strong focus on ensuring the advancement of the City of San Antonio's ‘Mission Verde’ sustainability plan. The “Mission Verde” plan offers several long-term environmental initiatives that are designed to encourage future development that are economically, environmentally, and socially responsible.
CEAC Meetings are held on the first Friday of each month.
